Rittenhouse featured on City TV today
This morning some of our products were featured on the program Breakfast Television (aka BT) which is on City TV in Toronto. I think this program is re-broadcast on other City TV channels across Canada and also on satellite services around the continent. Some news from the offices of Rittenhouse. We have gone Hollywood. The Rittenhouse Studios are pumping out videos for the Internet. We started with the consumer products several months back. We have moved on to tackling our professional products. Including repair instructions and installation instructions for Hypro Pumps.

Christmas Gifts for Gardeners
Here we are again, at the beginging of the holiday season. We have put some of our most popular gift selections in a special area of our website. You can find that area here:

Some of these gift ideas are the normal things that gardeners would want and some of them are some of the more unusual items that Rittenhouse carries that are not easily found in a regular garden center. Such as the Woodman's Pal, which is like a machete for clearing brush. Except that the Woodman's Pal is the tool that the US Marines are issued for clearing brush in a jungle. It makes an excellent gift for a man who likes to work outside.... or a former US Marine who wants the same quality tool that he was trained to use.
Or, the Rittenhouse Fork and Shovel. Very high quality stainless steel and red oak garden tools. Built to last and extremely functional and would make a fantastic gift for a gardener who is sick and tired of wearing out tools quickly.

Wow! We forgot to post in June.
Sorry about that .... we were so busy filling orders and getting them shipped that we were unable to blog about Rittenhouse for the entire month of June.
So, here are a few updates.
We have continued to expand our online presence during the last 4 weeks. Launching 3 new websites for specific niches. This will help people finding specific product groups without having to wade through the enormous Rittenhouse website. Using technology supplied by Amazon for a shopping cart and credit card clearing, these sites are sure to be a success.
The first one is called Theft Deterrents. Which features a few dozen products from the Rittenhouse line up that are for preventing thieves from stealing your mobile equipment, water, outdoor furniture, gasoline, construction equipment ... and many more items. These theft deterrents are mostly meant to slow down thieves or in many cases foil them from taking your stuff or the property of your company.
We love animals and birds. But sometimes a bird can be destructive and can nest or roost in a place that is annoying or damaging. Rather that hurt the birds or kill the birds these tiems will just scare them off and get them to go elsewhere. Take a look at Just Bird Control and start getting those winged critters off of your pond, roof, boat or garden and back into the trees where they are supposed to be.
At Rittenhouse we sell miles and miles of hose. Hoses for spraying equipment, industrial applications, watering, pressure washing or a thousand other applications. Watering hoses are a huge seller for Rittenhouse. So we have built a website that focuses on garden hose, soaker hose and indoor watering.
We plan on adding more websites over the next several weeks. Splintering off different sections of the main Rittenhouse website into their own micro websites for easy ordering. The pricing is normally the same between the Rittenhouse site and the newer focuses websites.

Spring has sprung .. too busy to blog
Hello Blogees
We are extremely busy with the Spring rush and far too busy for frequent blog posts. But I do have a few things to bring to your attention.
We have recently added a new sales channel, Costco in Canada. You can now (or anyday now) visit Costco's Canadian website to purchase specific Rittenhouse gardening products. I am not sure how many items we are offering at this point but we expect this to be a successful sales channel for Rittenhouse.
Aeroplan!!!
Rittenhouse is now offering Aeroplan miles for all purchases. Obviously you will need to have an Aeroplan card to participate. We are busy working to add a new box to the Rittenhouse website check out process to make it easy to earn your miles. It will likely be another week until we finish setting it up. But for the time being we can take your number over the phone or the front counter.
For some silly reason the decision was made to cut the air time this bloggers favourite podcast, the Rick Emerson Show from Portland Oregon. They have added music to the Best Show Ever and cut out nearly an hour of talk time. To read all about this travesty you can visit this blog, Save RES. They have added more Rick and removed some of the music as this week progressed .. so there is hope.

St. Valentine's Day
Good Day to all, so it is that time of year again good ole Valentine's Day. Have you done your shopping yet? If you are like RF and leave things till the last minute then end up finding exactly what you are looking for well good for you. IF you are like me and end up buying something else as the store was sold out of the item you wanted, then lets start right now to shop at least we will be a couple days early. One choice could be the new Purple lanterns from Rittenhouse or if you have a Nascar fan on your list well the races start this weekend. Lots of Nascar items to choose from at the Nascar Store.
