Father's Day Gift Ideas

Ok, so not sure who all bought presents for their mommy for Mother's Day but it is almost time to think about dad as Father's Day is quickly approaching. June 15th is the day, so mark it down and maybe you should consider buying something now so you don't have to run out last minute and end up getting something he won't like. Does your dad like to play games while enjoying a cold one outside?? If so how about some of the great outdoor giant games we have right here at Rittenhouse. You can choose from the Giant Chess Game, Giant Quoits which is a really neat game of skill. Try the Giant Tower game which is like Jenga. Maybe your dad likes golf, the golf ball washer is a really neat addition to any yard. If your dad does not like games how about a few neat tools. We have the Fusion 9 Multi Tool by Corona or how about the 22" Machete, not an item to walk down the street with but great for clearing brush or harvesting crops. If Dad hates weeds in his yard or garden he could try the new Electro Weeder

Walnut Trail - Experience Outdoor Living

Hey, a new website has appeared and it is very similar to our ;-).

It focuses on higher end, quality products to beautify your outdoor living spaces. It is not complete yet, lots more product to appear on it, but it is ready for orders.

Walnut Trail

In other news, this blogger is upset that Tiger Woods has lost a PGA tournament. Down in Miami at Doral, the Blue Monster, he could not make it win number 8 in a row. I am a big fan of Tiger but I know people who are sick and tired of watching him win tournament after tournament. I feel he is the absolute best golfer of all time and complaining about him winning is just plain silly. Its like complaining about Wayne Gretzky winning the scoring championship again, or Babe Ruth winning the home run title. So lighten up folks, you are watching history, there will never be a better golfer in your lifetime and try and enjoy it while it lasts. You will be able to tell your grandkids that you watched Tiger on his incredible streak in 2008.

Root Feeding, Walnut Trail & Jeff Healey

Two issues that I would like to discuss today, one a new lower price for a long standing product and the announcement that a new site is up and running and ready to take orders.

The Webster Deep Root Feeder has been a Rittenhouse product for as long as I have been working here. It is a gas powered root feeder that places granular product in the root zone of trees. This machine is really only for professional landscapers but occasionally we get property owners who prefer to feed their own trees as opposed to bringing in arborists or landscapers to take care of their trees. We are now offering a lower price for the Webster Deep Root Feeder. We have lowered the price by about a $100.00, just in time for spring!

Walnut Trail is a brand new eccomerce website. It is chock full of products for your home and garden with the emphasis on stlye. Take a look at the site here:

Walnut Trail

There will be new products added to the Walnut Trail website frequently, so bookmark it.

Meanwhile, we are saddened by the untimely death of Jeff Healey, a Canadian musical icon who tragically lost his life long battle with cancer yesterday in Toronto. If you have had the pleasure to seeing him play, you will understand what a loss this is for the Canadian music scene. Here is a video from the 1980's to remember Jeff Healey, Angel Eyes.

RIP Jeff Healey
